Summer Break

I, Shtrahler, intend to take an extended break from posting pieces on this site fairly regularly.  I've been working on the Shaggy Mythos continuously for about eight years, I think, and I've reached the point where I can't substantially develop the Mythos any more-- it's finished, it seems.  I've run out of likely avenues of research for material that might stimulate further creative growth of the Mythos.  And I've gotten a sense that it's a completed project and that I've done about as much for it as I can.  My mind, too, is now telling me that it's finished, and that it's time for me to open up to new creative possibilities.  But I don't know what will happen.  I'm not closing the door on the Shaggy Mythos-- it's come out of me, it is me, and I've put an awful lot of work into bringing it forth.  I hope it works for others as much as it has for me, as an ecological religious alternative, but although it's a living thing for me, I'm going to have to find some other outlet for my creative drive, possibly related to it, or an offshoot, or something new.  I'll just have to see.  But I still expect to post pieces when I have something worthwhile to present.  And wherever I eventually end up, I'll let you know.  So, I will be off...

Eco-alchemical Formula

Take the Prima Materia, the primordial protoplasmic slime, the Ureld-ooze, and distill it to the subtle Samen-flowod, and from this essence condense the amoeboid Proto-Drygand, the Pan-chimaera.
His subtler Sidden, his magical influence, a duft on the luft, seeps into the mind and marrow of the Last Man, postmodern civilized man, and some among these who are ripe to go beyond, develop a new growth amidst their brain, the Lodestone, a crystallization of subtlest Samen, that when full-formed unleashes fantastic primal energies, Ur-nennings, that convert the Last Man to-- Eco-Alf!

ureld= primordial (Ger. uralte).
Samen-flowod= the magical life-fluid.
Sidden= magical influence (OEng. aelf-siden).
Duft on the Luft= haze (emanation, exhalation) on the air (Ger.).
Lodestone= guide-stone (~Philosophers' Stone).
Last Man= Nietzsche's characterization of modern civilized man in his final form, the antithesis of the Overman.  A rather bovine species.
Alfar= the next step.
