First Post

Hello and welcome. My name is Shtrahler and I've been working on the Shaggy Mythos for four years now. It is not mythology, with stories, but rather a fantastic cosmology expressed in evocative 'sacred' language; in English, but with much vocabulary or coinages from germanic languages such as Old and Middle English, Old Icelandic, and modern German. Sometimes it sounds like slogans, or creedal formulas-- meant to inspire, or to encapsulate deep-ecological ideation. Sometimes I just write a description such as this one. Because there is so much incomprehensible vocabulary, I give definitions, and eventually, I must figure out how to provide a glossary for you. At present, my internet skills are rudimentary and I must improve them for all our sakes. Please have patience with any wretchedness I make in my improving efforts.

I'll give you a few examples. Ecology is Edhlifrith, which means literally "Nature-peace". The Ecology symbol is Edhlifrith Takn. The Ecology movement is Edhlifrith Sake.

I'll give you a little cosmology: "The Drygand is the Allwight of the Edhli-reach of Eorth". The Drygand (literally "magic magical thing") is the pan-chimera or Allwight from Old English Aelwiht/Ealwiht, which means "strange creature, monster", but as Ealwiht literally means "All-wight": a being combining all species of life on Earth (Eorth). The Edhli-reach is the Biosphere. This kind of language is cumbersome to explicate and no doubt taxing to try to understand, but for me, this is powerful language, and I will try to impart the wodhenness (inspiring character) of it in my posts. I might use some help on this.

Well, I'll think on the best ways to introduce the Mythos, and try to familiarize myself with blog-wereld, and hope to post again soon.
