The Cherrenge

The Billywit, as he is simple, mild, and kindly, readily takes-in the Drygand's Siden, clean through to the marrow, where it dwells and works a cherrenge. The nerve-marrow inside the skull and backbone becomes the Ram-headed Snake, which also hight the Drygand-Within. And in the brain-marrow the Lodestone does grow. And from the marrow of the many bones grows-out a glassy new flesh within the old, to a shining Body of Light, as from the bones-out bilds the Edhli-mensch, the new man of the Edhli-menning, who is thane to the Drygand, hight then, Drygand-Alf, who now dwells in this wondrous Body that is open to all the Edhli.

Siden (OEng siden ~OIce seidhr, Skt siddha= magic)al power)= influence on others.

Cherrenge (~Lat 'change')= the change to ecological post-humanism.

Ram-headed Snake= a mysterious mythic creature of prehistoric Europe.

hight (MEng)= 'is called'.

Lodestone= an organ of maegisch power and inner guidance.

bild (Ger bilden)= to form, shape, cultivate, improve one's mind, become civilized.

Edhli-mensch (OIce edhli= Nature)= Man of the Biosphere.

Edhli-menning= the Biospheric Civilization.
