Will and Bill

(word-help below)

The Twayne are called Will and Bill; Will short for Wilder-- wild animal-- which he seems like at times, and Bill short for Bilewit, as he tends towards bilewitness. Which shows there is an otherness in kind between them-- but in a pinch, each can become as like to the other as makes no mind, as they are Twayne.

Will and Bill, this is what they are called, though these are eke-names, as no one knows of any names other for them-- than Twayne, that is. So, Will and Bill, the Twayne.

Wilder(OE)
Bilewit(OE)= one who is mild, kindly, simple, earnest, honest, and innocent; a shaggy, hairy elf.

Eke-name= nickname.
