It is dualist-extremist, it yearns for spiritual rebirth and also physical liberation, it is idealistic and worldly-wise, it is magical-mystical and naturalist Nature-loving, it is worshipful of the highest but avid for the allure of the base, it is passionate-intuitive and coolly cerebral, it is revolutionary and conservative, but above all, it promises reformation, rebirth, of the primal source energies pouring into new, more fitting archetypal expressions, like a metamorphosis of the gods.
And now, as global apocalypse laps at the door, giving us only a choice of "evolve or die", of freeze, flight, or fight for the survival of all life, Romanticism breaks out in a global eruption of the collective Unconscious, manifesting its titanic survival drives in universal ecological archetypal symbols, charged compelling images, ideas.
A rough beast emerges with the expectation of the end of the World, bearing fierce salvation into the New.
